Hot Yoga Renton Class Style

Our yoga classes combine the skills of concentration, patience, and self-control which leads to increased mental clarity and reduced stress. Developing a hot yoga practice can help you achieve total health through the balancing and strengthening of every system in the body. Hot yoga has been used to prevent illness, injury and to limit the effects of aging.

We hold our hot yoga classes in a heated room (85-105°F; 40% humidity) to warm your muscles, prevent injury, enable a deeper workout, and flush toxins. Classes are 60, 75, or 90-minute sessions. Each posture stretches and strengthens specific muscles, ligaments, and joints needed for the next.

Hot Yoga Renton welcomes new students daily. No experience is required. You can move at your own pace and rest as often as you like. We recommend you start slowly and rest sooner than you think you need. We are here to support you in any way we can; this is your yoga practice. All classes are designed for beginners — and yet can challenge advanced students.

Hatha / Traditional Yoga

This is the classic Traditional Hatha sequence of 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises, practiced in a heated room around 105°F. 90-minute classes will have two sets of every posture; 60-minute classes will have at least one set of every posture. Because the sequence stays the same, students learn to move together in unison, supporting each other through the collective energy of the room. Repetition allows regular practitioners to reflect on the changes within themselves in each class, finding deeper alignment, breath, and awareness over time. This class is great for beginners and experienced students alike, and is often considered one of the most therapeutic yoga practices for strength, flexibility, balance, and mental clarity.

Hatha Yoga

The yoga style colloquially called “Hatha” simply indicates that each posture will be held for several breaths with a rest period taken in between postures. While these classes may contain some pieces of the Traditional practice, including the 105°F heat, each instructor brings their own style, sequencing, and focus. As in the Traditional Hatha, postures encourage the practitioner to build strength in order to gain flexibility. Expect a balanced class that introduces new poses, variations, or themes while still emphasizing breath, alignment, and mindful movement. A great option if you like consistency with room for creativity.

Stretch & Strengthen

This class blends active and passive stretching with strength-building poses to support the body’s natural healing process, practiced in a room between 101-104°F. Designed to improve mobility, flexibility, and stability, it’s especially helpful for recovering from old injuries or preventing new ones. Expect a thoughtful pace with plenty of time to explore sensations, build strength safely, and leave feeling both worked and restored.

Vinyasa Yoga

Vinyasa links breath with movement as you transition smoothly from one posture to the next. Classes may vary in pace and intensity but are accessible to all levels, with options to scale intensity up or down offered throughout. Expect a dynamic practice that builds strength, coordination, and cardiovascular endurance while encouraging mindful, breath-driven movement. As bodies create more internal heat in this class, the room is kept between 95-100°F.

Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga is a practice rooted in Taoist principles of yin and yang. Passive postures are held for periods of 3-5 minutes to gently target connective tissues like fascia, ligaments, and tendons, while encouraging deep relaxation. As opposed to more active yoga styles, the meditation takes place in long stretches of stillness, challenging the mind in a different way. The room is not actively heated, so the ambient temperature is around 85°F. This class supports joint health, flexibility, and nervous system regulation, making it a perfect complement to an active lifestyle.

Gentle Professionals

Our instructors are dedicated to strengthening the bodies, minds, and spirits of our students

I was completely new to yoga but always wanted to try it. From the minute I walked in the door everyone was so welcoming. I have pretty severe social anxiety so going into an unknown place with a room full of strangers is not very pleasant. The instructor was SO nice! I made it through all the postures without having to rest once! I felt so proud of myself! Afterwards, a couple women in the class talked to me and congratulated me on my first class and hoped to see me back. I think I finally found my workout class that I LOVE!!
